Overview

In 2010, I designed DIRECTV’s first comprehensive mobile product for iPhone and BlackBerry, helping transition a traditional television provider into the smartphone era. I created the information architecture and interaction model for a device-constrained experience that connected entertainment discovery with account, service, and commerce needs.

The work translated DIRECTV’s complex ecosystem into intuitive mobile journeys, including programming exploration, channel navigation, receiver management, package selection, cart review, and checkout. It established an early foundation for the company’s broader DIRECTV Everywhere strategy and expanded how customers could engage with the brand beyond the television screen.

Overview

As Lead UX/UI Designer, I shaped the interaction model, navigation, content hierarchy, merchandising patterns, plan-selection flows, and cross-sell experiences. The project also explored tablet-optimized viewing and data-free streaming, helping define how AT&T and DirecTV could deliver entertainment across screens as the company moved toward products such as DIRECTV NOW.
